Ingram Micro's GBI organization is a profit generating strategic service that provides IT channel stakeholders with the insights and industry intelligence to generate more business, expand reach, and achieve pinpoint accuracy in their sales and marketing efforts. Through the GBI org, the analytics team develops high margin science offerings for Ingram’s Global Partners and internal Business Units across the company including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.

Featuring the largest transactional, product, and inventory databases in the IT Distribution Channel, the Data Science team offers Ingram’s global IT Vendor and Solution providers, Reseller Partners, and internal stakeholders customizable programs, services, and insights: including lead analytics, forecasts and growth targets, recommendation engines, propensity models, strategic analytic consulting, industry performance, customer health analysis, product lifecycle analysis, as well as supply chain optimization, logistics and operations analytics.


We are seeking an experienced Analytics Manager to lead a team of technical Business Intelligence analysts. The role is stakeholder facing, driving multi-million dollar programs: gather requirements and developing data driven initiatives for internal and external partners (Country Leaders; Senior Executives; Vendor Business Managers; Market Developers; Sales, Marketing, and Finance SMEs; external Vendor partners and Resellers). The leader will focus on building an analytic product portfolio for North America with their team, while engaging with diverse resources from around the global department (including PhD and MA scientists, marketing experts, software developers, and data engineers). In addition to hands on engagement with her/his team, the leader will help shape the North American analytic hub vision for the department, translating business requirements to analytics with tangible financial return.

Qualifications and Role

  • BS or BA (Masters a plus)
  • 5+ years of experience (in consulting or industry) and 2 years of supervisory experience or 4 years of leadership experience
  • Ability to apply analytic insights to high impact questions with immediate and long-term relevance
  • Proficient with SQL and knowledge of Stored Procedures. Willing to be an Individual Contributor at times; actively engaging with team
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, and ability to lead in a highly engaged team environment.
  • Guide technical resources and lead strategic discussions with experienced executives
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Own analytics-based programs
  • Focus on transitioning pilot initiatives to a productionalized, automated offerings at scale. 
  • The ability to QA and improve team output, challenge models, discuss positioning and use data to tell a story.
  • The ability to elevate, teach and coach Analysts.
  • Set goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
  • Drive stakeholder facing initiatives related to Product Recommendation Engines, Lead Generation, Product Lifecycle Management, Customer Lifecycle Management, and new analytic offerings
  • Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.
