Ingram Micro Cloud is #hiringnow for a Manager, Cloud Technical Services for our SaaS Specialist Team (SST)!

Our Technical Services team offers reseller enablement and pre-sales engineering support in a number of critical cloud practice areas including CyberSecurity, Business Applications, Unified Communications, and Collaboration solutions from vendors such as Microsoft, Google, 8x8, RingCentral, Acronis, Adobe, AvePoint, and many others.  We firmly believe that our technical services strategy is a game changer in the IT channel.  We understand that managing technical competencies and hiring and developing technical consultants is a major challenge for our partners.  Ingram Micro has chosen to invest in this area knowing that we can deliver a better experience than any of our competitors. 

The Manager, Cloud Technical Services is a leadership role that focuses on hiring, developing, and supporting two different teams:

  • Technology Consultants work with a reseller's senior leadership team to execute a practice development plan including product selection, resource planning, training, and management processes.
  • Pre-sales Engineers work with a reseller's sales and technical teams to scope, propose, and win new end-customers.

These teams are heavily focused on getting skilled up and certified to assist our sales and customer success teams in their mission to recruit more resellers, develop and nurture our current resellers, and help them grow at a faster pace than the market.  We need a solid leader who is experienced at people management and has successfully delivered technology solutions over the course of their career that lead to positive business outcomes for their customers. Responsibilities:

  • Hire, develop, manage, and coach technical sales resources to support our sales teams and their engagement with our IT resellers
  • Successfully navigate a cross-functional organization to foster relationships across many different sales teams
  • Willingness to achieve and maintain technical certifications as required
  • Ensure all technical sales resources are in compliance with various technical certifications
  • Articulate the Ingram Micro Cloud value proposition to leaders and decision makers at reseller organizations
  • Achieve a comprehensive understanding of Ingram Micro’s Cloud Marketplace technology platform, and deliver presentations on the platform’s automation benefits to resellers
  • Understand revenue and profit goals of our resellers and communicate how a partnership with Ingram Micro will assist in achievement of those objectives
  • Gain knowledge of Ingram Micro’s leading technology vendors such as Microsoft, Google, RingCentral, 8x8, Dropbox, DocuSign, Sophos, Trend Micro, Cisco, AvePoint, Adobe, Acronis, and others
  • Host group meetings and presentations with Ingram Micro teams and reseller executives
  • Collaborate with other internal sales and vendor solutions teams to align efforts on sales campaigns
  • Achieve all targets and KPIs

Job Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the IT industry, the cloud landscape, distribution, and Ingram Micro’s role in each
  • Proven track record in successfully supporting technology sales teams
  • Extensive experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and pending deadlines
  • Understanding of the technical certification process
  • Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Modern Work and Google Workspace

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a people management role
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communications skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Commitment to gain and maintain technical certifications as required
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time across the U.S.
