Network/Security Postsales

The Network/Security Presales will report to the Technical Services Manager / assigned Team Lead while supporting Singapore sales and product teams. While maintain your domain knowledge, you will be expected to work jointly with other presales/postsales in other    domain areas to complete and deliver a full working solution/ architectural design for the project(s). You will be a part of the teams to drive incremental sales & services growth for the organization with;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills verbal and written IT Security background
  • Strong personal presence, capable of engaging senior management
  • Good team player easily forming strong and extended networks with good communication skills and comfortable communicating at all levels up to CxO
  • Good blend of business/commercial, sales and technical skills Understands the market issues and trends affecting the IT Security business and Intel Security's differentiators versus the competition
  • Self-starter who is pro-active, creative, with lots of initiative and a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude
  • Experience in delivering trainings
  • Results-driven with strong goal-orientation
  • Comfortable/Competent with both sales and delivery activities
  • Demonstrable technical experience in the following areas: Experience of IT Security, Security Architectures, Industrial Security, Endpoint Technologies, SIEM Ideally from a Security Team or a Security Vendor
  • Willing to work and travel flexible hours to suit customer requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

  • The Presales Engineer SE works with field sales teams advising customers on Intel Security solutions and strategies.
  • The role primarily consists of providing technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations and PoC installations, identification of the appropriate Intel Security solutions for customers, and production of RFI/RFP responses and technical proposals across the complete line of Intel Security products.
  • The SE will recommend Intel Security solutions and at the same time develop a business relationship enabling the customer to enhance their overall security.
  • The SE is expected to help architect, accelerate and close solutions to enterprise businesses within a defined set of accounts.
  • The candidate must perform a variety of tasks including product overviews, customized presentations and demonstrations, architecture workshops, complex solution design, proposal development, advanced product evaluations, proof of concepts and product feature/benefit discussions.
  • Required to scope and potentially deliver technical education for customers and partners. This could encompass Requirements Analysis, Planning, Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Tuning, Ongoing Knowledge Transfer, Documentation etc

 
Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), equivalent with 2-4 Year(s) of customer fronting experience in related field
  • Holding any Professional Certification of Azure, AWS, GCloud etc is a plus point
  • Understands the market issues and trends affecting the IT Security business and Intel Security's differentiators versus the competition
  • Good knowledge in firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, basic Wintel/Linux OS system
  • Enterprise firewall experience – experience configuring and managing enterprise firewalls and gateway devices is important in this role
  • Communication skills – it’s crucial that network security engineers have the ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management clearly and effectively
  • Adaptability – network security engineers typically work as a member of several teams, which requires flexibility and adaptability. Candidates interested in this role should be comfortable working in a matrixed IT environment
  • Problem-solving skills – it’s the network security engineer’s job to solve problems. Security incidents can happen at any time and it’s expected that these engineers will research, escalate, and resolve issues effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and in event of ad-hoc tight timeline might requires some after office hour. 
  • Self-discipled, Self-motivated and good time management would be essential for our area of work
  • Demonstrable technical experience in the following areas: Experience of IT Security, Security Architectures, Industrial Security, Endpoint Technologies, SIEM Ideally from a Security Team or a Security Vendor
  • Presentation and public speaking skills in both verbal and written communication
  • Required/Prefer Skill(s): Checkpoint products, PaloAlto Products, McAfee Products or equivalent
