Job Title: Wireless Site Surveyor

Location: Central/South

Department: Surveying

Reporting to: Field Services Manager

Salary: up to £30k dependent on experience + car (or car allowance), fuel card, phone, laptop, benefits package, overtime and Ekahau certified training

 

Comms-care, part of the Ingram Micro Group is a market leading and award-winning IT service provider specialising in IT Support Services, Managed IT Services & Professional IT Services. Comms-care is looking to add an additional wireless surveyor to its Wireless team.

 

The Role:

The wireless surveyor will be responsible for providing the technical skills to support our customers both onsite and remotely. On a day to day basis, they are focused on surveying wireless solutions for our customers.

 

You will have a 1 - 3 year history of delivering wireless surveys, including:

  • Site survey
  • Survey reporting

 

You will have strong experience providing site surveys for Cisco, Cisco Meraki Aruba and other vendors. Any additional qualifications and/or experience with Cisco, Cisco Meraki, CWNA and Aruba Access Points and Wireless LAN Controllers will be beneficial to this role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct project based wireless site surveys and simulations using Ekahau Site Survey including detailed documentation.

 

Fundamental to this role:

  • Extremely well organised with good communication skills and excellent spoken/ written English.
  • Experience and knowledge of wireless surveys for all types of environments.
  • Knowledge of RF antenna concepts, and their use in optimising wireless designs in specialist environments such as warehousing, manufacturing and office locations.
  • Excellent customer facing skills.
  • Full driving license and valid passport.
  • Willing to travel up to 75% to client sites (sometimes in EU) to site survey, assist in installation and deployment.
  • Experience with the Ekahau survey tools.
  • Some night and weekend work may be required (paid overtime)
