What you'll do

The Emerging Business Group (EBG) is a dynamic, exciting new team at Ingram Micro that supports the growth of new and emerging technology companies (vendors) with our channel partners.  The team will support approximately 30 vendors.

The Senior Field Sales Manager will lead a team of skilled field sales associates who act as a conduit between our EBG vendors, our customers, and the organization to ensure that we continue to provide superior support and relevant products and services to these partners.

As the Senior Field Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading the team toward meeting/exceeding sales objectives while ensuring each associate is equipped for success. 

Initially you will manage seven field sales associates. These associates are based in New England, Atlanta, Phoenix, Chicago, Florida, Las Vegas, and Maryland.

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior people management skills, preferably with proven ability to coach and develop
  • Prior selling and account management experience
  • Technical and channel sales experience 

Your role and duties:

  • Build, inspire, and manage an innovative and agile team of sales leaders through consistent leadership and frequent communication to the team
  • Identify and develop individual team members to create a high-performance culture through coaching and training
  • Responsible for the delivery of assigned team financial metrics and business KPI's
  • Analyze sales statistics and results and recommend strategic & tactical plans for improvement
  • Managing, developing, and helping each sales associate to grow their territory
  • Provide input into sales forecasts and recommend short and long-term sales goals to achieve and exceed business objectives
  • Responsible for ensuring staff are trained in departmental and Ingram Micro systems, processes, and policies
  • Develop, implement, and maintain best practices throughout the team
  • You will work across functional roles within the business unit and across the organization, such as Sales, Vendor Management, Marketing, Customer Support, and Technical Enablement.

What you'll bring

  • A BA or additional relevant experience in a related field
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in sales, alliances, business development, and marketing with strong leadership experience
  • General understanding of common tools and systems used in sales organizations (CRM, ERP, etc.)
  • Problem-solving skills, conceptual and analytical skills with a proven ability to turn findings into executable plans
  • Excellent oral, written, listening and formal presentation skills including the ability to communicate and sell ideas
  • Demonstrated initiative to work independently and with teams interchangeably.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
