Our Ingram Micro Mississauga office is in hiring mode and searching for our next Associate Professional, Transportation / Customs Associate Professional.
 

Required to perform complex classification for import/export shipments and assign duty to parts database
 

  • Excellent knowledge of the Harmonized System of Classification and Customs Regulations
  • Manage the Partner’s in Protection (PIP) program
  • Communicate daily with Customs brokers, carriers as well as internal and external customers with regards to live shipments
  • Responsible for validating/maintaining FTA database with correct documentation from suppliers
  • Conduct analysis on tariff database and make recommendations to Customs Manager
  • Liaise with appropriate government departments with regards to customs rulings and any post entry amendments (B2’s)
  • Create and maintain a duty drawback/refund program
  • Manage the discrepancy report for the Canadian operation
  • Review weekly and monthly customs invoices and coordinate payments with Management.
  • Prioritize and complete work according to project demands, customs requirements, business needs
  • Required to provide on-the-job training for new team members
  • Participate fully with other team members in the day-to-day operation of the team, including setting priorities, organizing and scheduling work, coordinating with others, problem solving and decision making, participating in meetings and handling projects

 

Education and Experience include:

Minimum a College Diploma ideally in Customs and/or International Trade

CCS Designation

  • 3- 5 years Customs experience
  • Good verbal communication skills and customer service experience
  • The ability to organize, prepare, and assemble documents or reports containing data from several sources.
  • Ability to develop relationships with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated strong and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management Project (CARM) and Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS)  is considered an asset
  •  Lean Six Sigma Certification is considered an asset
