*This position is in the Irvine, California corporate headquarters and has the opportunity for hybrid work with up to three days remote per week. 
 

Your role:

Ingram Micro has embarked on a multi-year digital transformation journey to overhaul the front and back-office systems that run our global enterprise business with revenues of > $50B and presence in 50+ countries. Within the office of the Chief Digital Officer, which includes responsibility for all things digital, we are establishing an enterprise architecture team to steer our global work as we reinvent our digital footprint. We are looking for a leader of this team. The role will report into the Executive Director, Enterprise Solution Architecture, part of the CDO organization and will lead a team of direct and matrixed enterprise architects.  

 

The role will be responsible for ensuring proper design principles in all build, buy, partner decisions.  This position requires a well-rounded, in depth, ability to provide architectural design support in all aspects of technology.  This role will also lead a cross-functional, cross-geo Architectural Review Board process.  The ideal candidate will have experience working in a technology driven organization with an understanding of project lifecycle, requirements gathering and systems analysis with the ability to lead discussions and meetings.   

 

Major Responsibility:  Enterprise Architecture

Supporting Actions:    Review and assess corporate goals, strategies and assets along with everyday processes and procedures and to help set the foundational structure for the architecture review process.  Contribute ideas and insight to help optimize IT resources to stay current with evolving business trends and new technologies.  Share review findings and recommendation to executives and stakeholders, along with architecture team, showing the progress in implementing new strategies.  Responsible for interpretation, the use and application of information contained within IT architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of IT systems.      

End Results:    Acts as a change agent—thrive in a matrix management environment to drive change and influence others within the organization to make sustainable and measurable improvements in processes.  Ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards.

 

Major Responsibility:  Architectural Governance

Supporting Actions:    Manage, use and maintain IT/technology architecture models.  Implement the strategy for the development of IT/technology architecture work.  Direct the IT/technology architecture activities.  Recommends and participated in the analysis, evaluation and development of enterprise long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the objectives are consistent with the enterprise’s long-term business objectives.  Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and upcoming vendor products and solution.  Collaborates with all relevant parties in order to review the objectives and constraints of each solution and determine conformance with the Enterprise Architecture governance standards.  Recommends the most suitable technical architecture and defines the solution at a high level.  Lead the Architectural Review Board

End Results:    Identifies implementation risks and analyses potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives and strategic priorities for our business stakeholders.  Leads the design and implementation of IT service management standards, tools and methodologies.

 

What you bring to the role:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Relevant Science and Math disciplines with an IT emphasis is required, plus 8 years of experience in Information Technology and 5 years of management and strategic experience in this field or MBA/MS in related filed with 3 years’ experience.
  • Minimum 8 Years’ progressive leadership and design experience in the Wholesale Distribution Industry and or consulting leadership experience with Named Big Four. Distribution specific experience in large scale data analysis and customer segments including but not limited to SMB (Small and Medium Business), Retail, Etail, Telco and Corporate (VAR).
  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Program and Project management with specific experience implementing significant change and transformation programs including but not limited to SAP ERP, CRM, Supply Chain solutions
  • Seasoned experience in Matrix management organizations with proven ability to manage and drive implementation and change.
  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in solution and proposal design and evaluation.  Including but not limited to RFP creation and responses.

  • Demonstrated and proven experience in Program Governance, Prioritization, Integration Testing, Quality assurance in large scale system deployments in distribution channels and IT industry
