What are the responsibilities?

As Sr. Systems Engineer EMEA for the vendor Intel you are the key contact towards Sales, Pre-Sales, Business Partners and Clients for consultancy and advise towards interdependencies and interoperability. The main goal will be to create a comprehensive Multi-Vendors Enterprise/Datacenter Architecture model with focus on Intel’s products and solutions that will generate more demands for Ingram Micro and Intel resulting in revenue growth and improved visibility in the Enterprise and Datacenter space.

We are looking for a Strong Technologist who can map the business needs to technology architecture and can peer with the customer CTO, Engineering & operations team leaders. 

Validates the value proposition with Sales, Services teams, and the customer during the offer construction. Frequently assists in direct customer communication on validating and refining their requirements and expectations 

  • Identify opportunities for partnerships in the market through insights into the tech industry
  • Be a strategic and creative problem solver adept at balancing short-term pressures with overall long-term goals
  • Show excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade, using simple communications that convey sophisticated concepts in a compelling, concise, inspiring, and creative way
  • Sales Execution: Skilled in leading BDM and ITDM conversations with high-potential customers, building pipeline and developing and presenting solutions that meet customer requirements & strategy, and leading deal execution.
  • Business Value Selling: Skilled in building economic justification of Modern Work solutions, assessing business opportunities and needs, and validating business value analysis with customers
  • Technical Expertise: Skilled in understanding Modern Work solutions and products, developing strategies to share best practices across subsidiaries, collaborating with Center of excellence Teams (CoE) and other stakeholders, whilst providing insights on future product trends.

Beside the above you will also focus on:

  • Manage, define, configure, and implement storage infrastructure solutions and services consisting of enterprise appliances, networks, open source technologies in the HPC and Deep Learning environment
  • Identify and propose solutions within CPU and GPU computing clusters and storage systems
  • Support our customers to improve the performance and reliability of enterprise storage systems/data protection/backup and datacenter infrastructure and problem solving
  • Review and perform technology evaluations, coordinate HPC, Enterprise, Security, and Deep Learning projects, installations and deployment, product business plans, marketing activities, and sales development
  • Being Intel’s evangelist in countries and assist Sales and Pre-Sales to realize their HPC, Enterprise, and Deep Learning projects within the whole EMEA region
  • Maintaining healthy relations with Intel and our common business partners
  • Proactively follow up on all assigned leads and provide best-in-class service to our countries and customers

Required profile:

  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of "hands on" experience in designing and implementing datacenter architecture for enterprises and complex environments
  • Adequate understanding of file systems ZFS, XFS, NTFS along with the Enterprise Storage (NAS/SAN)/Data Protection/Backup Technologies same as virtualization (VMware, HyperV), and cloud technologies
  • Basic knowledge in backup/restore technologies (Veritas, Cohesity, Commvault, etc.)
  • Impressive track record in Enterprise, HPC, Security, Datacenter, and Deep Learning project realization
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure Security
  • Strong collaborative, social, and customer facing skills, ability to influence and motivate clients and employees, management skills, and self-motivation to effectively guide and influence within a fast-moving, rapidly growing, and consistently changing environment
  • Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German are required, a third language is a plus
