Solutions Development Executive – Device Attach

Ingram Micro is looking for a self-starter with experience in B2B technology sales and knowledge of Cloud security to join our Practice Development Team.  An ideal candidate will have experience selling B2B Cloud solutions, with a heavy focus on attaching goods/services to a sale.  This position will have a strong focus on position this individual as a “consultant” to our channel Partners. The ultimate goal of this sales leader is to help an assigned set of Partners build a SaaS portfolio and be wildly successful. 

 As a Solutions Development Executive for Device Attachyou will be responsible for guiding your reseller partners through our zero touch deployment services, cross-selling SaaS licensing, and enabling their partners success.  You will act as a trusted advisor for resellers; guiding them through a plan to achieve technical / sales readiness and driving SaaS end-customer acquisition.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Be a subject matter expert in our zero touch deployment services, as it relates to attaching cloud services to device services
  • Once trained, enable your partners to stand up or improve their SaaS practice. 
  • Collaborate with Ingram Micro’s Core Business Units to integrate device attach offerings into their overall strategy and portfolio.
  • Act as the trusted advisor for a set of Ingram Micro partners with the potential to be highly successful in cloud through device attach motions
  • Build business plans with targeted partners including sales readiness, technical readiness, marketing, customer acquisition and operational performance of their device business.
  • Deliver in-person and remote sales training and customer acquisition workshops for Partners.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise on device, and cloud offerings – including certifications as needed.

 

Time Allocation:

  • Partner Consultation and Enablement = 40%
  • Drive End-customer Wins so Partners “learn by example” = 30%
  • Team Leadership and Sales Support = 20%
  • Strategic Planning = 10%

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of B2B technology face to face sales, preferably with cloud technology.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: communication of goals and timelines, sharing of business results and gaining the commitment of Partners and peers.
  • Ability to enlist the support of others and gain commitments to actions and timelines.
  • Ability to work independently – setting priorities to meet goals and deadlines and efficiently organizing resources. 
  • Ability to travel up to 60%
