Principal Network Engineer 
Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for defining the technology strategy for Ingram Micro’s Converged Network by evaluating and recommending network technologies and overseeing the acquisition and implementation of such technology.
  • This resource will take an active role in capacity planning, defining network monitoring requirements and technology mentoring.
  • The qualified candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • As the Principal Network Engineer, this person will also be a consultant to the Enterprise
  • Computing organization and regional IS teams and will be viewed as the subject matter expert in the company for their area.
  • With the objective of improving MTTR during critical incidents, the Principal Network Engineer may be called upon to lead internal resources and external partners that support the day-to-day operations of the organization’s core networks (wired and wireless).
  • This will include providing oversight and guidance to protocol and configuration analysis, and developing complex troubleshooting plans or approaches. 


Requirements: Network Engineering tactical experience, training or work experience required; advanced degree a plus
Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the industry with 4 years as a senior network engineer in a previous role.

Nice to have: Education: BS or BA degree, Computer Science
Ability to make significant contribution to processes and systems.
