Who is the Sr. Analyst?

The Sr. Analyst is responsible for developing and analyzing data models that generate knowledge into the project owner’s business objectives. He or she will utilize reports of findings and create appropriate materials to communicate the findings. They will maintain a broad understanding of Ingram Micro’s business model along with becoming educated on vendors, customers, or internal division’s business models and needs. They must understand client’s objectives and translate business needs into the appropriate technical data models. Expertise to prepare data models and review output to ensure model accuracy, along with translating the trends and applying to business demands. They must have the ability to data-mine and aggregate data from multiple sources and provide a cohesive report back to associates and people managers. Must have strong business acumen and be able to work on most projects independently and lead projects with little guidance from management.

  • You effectively listen, communicate, recommend, and present data analytic solutions to internal and external clients, including over the phone meetings, in person presentations with PowerPoint, and other media sources.
  • You’re highly organized and proactively problem solve.
  • You’re a sought-after team member, with strong interpersonal skills, you perform duties with accuracy and with a strong degree of urgency, prioritize and require minimal supervision.
  • You’re able to extract and analyze data across multiple databases, evaluating effectiveness of marketing investments, and identifying trends and opportunities for improvement across the entire marketing funnel. Sr. Analyst

What you bring to the role:

  • Partner effectively with others, multi-task, respond to rapid change, perform duties with accuracy and with a strong degree of urgency, prioritize and perform work with little supervision.
  • Able to handle large quantities of data while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Marketing and Company data systems.
  • Technology or distribution background.
  • Experience with Excel and various visualization programs (Tableau, Domo, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.).
  • Modern analytics tools/languages like SQL, R, Python, Periscope, Advanced Excel.
  • Knowledge of various internal marketing systems and data fields (Cvent, Eloqua, Social Media, Virtual Event Platforms).
  • Understanding of Ingram Micro marketing programs, products, and services.
  • Possess excellent communication skills: written and verbal required.
  • Moderate selling skills necessary to identify opportunities, position solutions and articulate data.
  • An understanding of business acumen and how marketing contributes to the bottom line.
  • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving agility also required.
  • Strong marketing data knowledge including trends, ROI, and success metrics.
  • Typically, the level of experience and education required to demonstrate these key elements of knowledge/skills/experiences are: A high school diploma (or equivalent) required, a bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years previous data analysis experience (preferably in a related industry).
  • These timeframes may vary based on the candidate’s proven track record of successfully performing and demonstrating the level of knowledge/skills/experiences and delivering the results required of this role.
