About the Team: The Major Accounts team at Ingram Micro manages the company's largest global accounts. These include reseller partners who sell into various business sectors and verticals, aligning with Ingram Micro's focus areas such as Services, Cloud, and Public Sector.

About the Role: The Account Executive (AE) will develop business plans that align with both Ingram Micro's and the reseller's strategic objectives to drive profitable growth. As the team lead, the AE will collaborate with the Business Leader/Director, inside sales team, and various Ingram Micro business units to execute plans and identify growth opportunities. This role will support a Strategic partner in the Majors Division.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing strategic objectives critical to Ingram Micro, including Services, Public Sector, and Cloud.
  • Overseeing revenue, MM, and AGP plans and forecasts.
  • Understanding and managing the account's P&L, rebate letters, contracts and proposals.
  • Preparing and presenting presentations as needed.
  • Conducting quarterly business reviews and adapting to business needs.
  • Growing existing accounts for a Strategic partner in the Majors Division.

Travel: Monthly travel is expected, primarily to the East Coast, with potential travel to various locations across the U.S. for partner and vendor shows.

This is a field based/remote role.

Field/Remote role (May require minimum of 1 day weekly in office as needed for in-person meetings, when not traveling.)

Buffalo area is highly preferred

Key Skills:

  • Strong presence and leadership abilities, capable of engaging with all levels of business leaders.
  • Proven field experience and success.
  • Excellent presentation skills and financial acumen.
  • Strong negotiation and solution sales skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in solutions such as IBM SW, Cisco, Datacenter, Networking and Security, and Cloud.
  • Strong internal network.

Education/Experience:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of functional experience, including at least 5 years of position-specific experience.

Compensation: 60/40 split




The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $80,700.00 - $137,200.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
