The Platform Expert, Solutions will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) within the Strategic Platform Vendor group, driving key solution areas, such as renewals management , within strategic vendor conversations on Xvantage™. This role owns deep, end-to-end knowledge of how platform workflows operate, defines what is needed from vendors to make each solution successful, and articulates the value Ingram Micro brings to the business by adopting these solutions. Working closely with Platform Operations Managers, vendors, and cross-functional teams, this expert ensures solution areas are well understood, well represented, and continuously improved as the platform and business evolve. The Platform Expert, Solutions supports alignment across GVE, Regions, and Countries on the Xvantage™ strategy by bringing solution-area depth to the top 12 strategic vendors in focus, grounding vendor conversations, requirements, and roadmaps in real, end-to-end workflow expertise.

Your role:

Solution Area Leadership

  • Drive key solution areas, such as renewals management, within strategic vendor conversations and engagement plans.

  • Align solution priorities to the top 12 strategic vendors and their evolving go-to-market strategies.

  • Partner with Platform Operations Managers to embed solution expertise into vendor roadmaps, reviews, and QBRs.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as the SME on how platform workflows operate end-to-end, across the vendor, Ingram Micro, and customer experience.

  • Assess the current experience within each solution area and help define the target state as the business evolves.

  • Stay current on platform capabilities, feature releases, and industry best practices within assigned solution areas.

Vendor Requirements Definition

  • Define what is needed from the vendor for each solution to be successful, and communicate those needs clearly in vendor conversations.

  • Contribute solution-area expertise to business requirements and BRDs for platform features and Navigator functionality requests.

  • Identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for automation within solution workflows.

Value Articulation & Adoption

  • Articulate the value Ingram Micro brings to the business by adopting each solution, for both internal stakeholders and vendors.

  • Support onboarding and adoption of available functionality in collaboration with the GPB Success Team.

  • Contribute to KPIs, reporting, and executive materials that demonstrate solution-area progress and business impact.

What you bring to the role:

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required.

  • 3+ years of functional experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a directly related role such as solutions consulting, renewals or subscription management, platform enablement, or business analysis.

  • Demonstrated track record of serving as a subject matter expert on complex workflows, solutions, or platform capabilities.

  • Preferred: Active project or program management certification such as PMP®, CAPM®, PMI-ACP, or equivalent.

Skills & Competencies

  • Platform & Business Acumen: Ability to quickly develop deep familiarity with Xvantage™ and the broader Ingram Micro ecosystem; comfort operating at the intersection of technology and business.

  • Solution Expertise: Deep understanding of solution areas such as renewals management, including end-to-end workflow knowledge from vendor through to customer.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex workflows, identify gaps and dependencies, and define clear requirements for success.

  • Value Storytelling: Skilled at articulating business value and building compelling cases for solution adoption with audiences ranging from working teams to executives and vendors.

  • Stakeholder Influence: Able to build consensus and drive alignment across vendors, Platform Operations Managers, and cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Communication & Presentation: Polished written and verbal communicator; comfortable presenting complex workflows and solution concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Attention to Detail: High standards for accuracy, consistency, and quality in requirements, documentation, and communications.

  • Tooling Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint); experience with Jira, Confluence, and Power Apps preferred.

Typically, the level of experience and education required to demonstrate these key elements of knowledge/skills/experiences are:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • General proficiency with various tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.

  • A four-year college degree (or additional experience in a related field) and 3 years' functional experience including a minimum 1-year position specific experience.

  • Preferred: Completed project or program management certification including: Certified Project Manager (IAPM), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) ®, Project Management Professional (PMP) ®, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other equivalents.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $56,000.00 - $89,600.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
