Position Summary:
A Service Architect is responsible for designing and implementing service delivery solutions and strategies that align with client needs and business objectives. This role involves crafting service delivery frameworks, identifying the right technologies and methodologies, and ensuring that services are delivered effectively. Architects play a pivotal role in shaping the overall service delivery landscape within their organization and are known for their technical expertise, strategic thinking, and client-oriented approach. Architects play the lead role on consulting engagements. They are the face to the customer and provide leadership of the delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Design or Delivery: Developing and designing service delivery frameworks or delivering complex services, which may include processes, methodologies, and technology solutions to meet the specific requirements of clients. This involves creating detailed as builds documentation and architectural plans that address client needs and challenges.
- Technical Expertise: Leveraging a deep understanding of technology and systems to design solutions that are technically sound and capable of delivering or designing the desired services efficiently and effectively.
- Client Engagement: Collaborating and consulting closely with clients to understand their needs, goals, and constraints, and aligning solutions with these client-specific requirements. Client engagement is essential to ensure that the architectural design or deployment meets client expectations allowing a pre-sales engagement to go from opportunity to sale.
- Project Leadership: Taking the lead on projects, managing resources, timelines, and budgets, and ensuring the successful execution of service delivery solutions. This involves coordinating efforts across teams and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing and maintaining quality standards and best practices to ensure that service delivery solutions meet high-quality benchmarks. This includes evaluating the performance and effectiveness of service delivery.
- Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentoring and collaborating with junior architects and other team members to share knowledge, best practices, and guidance.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Staying current with industry trends and technological advancements, and actively seeking opportunities to enhance service delivery processes, efficiency, and overall quality.
- Strategic Thinking: Contributing to the strategic direction of service delivery within the organization, including shaping the services strategy and aligning it with business objectives.
- Client Relationship Management: Building and nurturing strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Thought Leadership: Providing thought leadership within the organization and, in some cases, the industry, by contributing to the development of standards and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience, including a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with the DoIT Cloud Intelligence platform.
- Demonstrated experience leading customer-facing consulting engagements and implementation projects.
- Strong background in FinOps practices, cloud cost management, and cloud governance.
- Expert-level knowledge of the DoIT Cloud Intelligence platform.
- Strong understanding of cloud financial management methodologies and FinOps best practices.
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with cloud billing, procurement, marketplace operations, and cloud governance models.
- Understanding of cloud architecture principles and operational best practices.
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,000.00 - $173,400.00 per year.
The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
