Role Overview
We are seeking an Azure Technical Consultant to deliver high-quality consulting and implementation services across infrastructure, migration, and application modernisation engagements.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on designing and delivering Azure solutions that align to Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected principles, supporting customers through migration, landing zone deployment, and workload modernisation programmes.
You will work across the full lifecycle - from pre-sales and discovery through to design, build, and handover - with accountability for producing robust technical designs and delivering successful customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales, Delivery & Implementation
- Lead technical discovery, qualification, and solution architecture for Azure modernisation engagements
- Translate business and technical requirements into pragmatic modernisation strategies and architectures
- Contribute to Statements of Work, scope definition, estimates, and delivery assumptions
- Act as a senior technical contributor on complex engagements and multi-disciplinary programmes
- Design and implement Azure landing zones using CAF and ALZ accelerator patterns
- Deliver infrastructure and migration projects using Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery
- Implement core Azure services, including networking, compute, storage, and identity
- Build resilient and highly available architectures (multi-region, DR strategies, backup)
- Automate deployments using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Support cutover planning, execution, and post-migration stabilisation
- Architecture & Design
- Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
- Define network topologies (hub-spoke, vNet peering, security controls)
- Design identity and access models using Entra ID
- Embed governance, security, and cost controls into all designs
- Customer Engagement
- Run discovery workshops and technical assessments
- Present architectural designs to stakeholders
- Act as a trusted advisor throughout delivery
- Support pre-sales activities including SOW creation and estimation

- Azure networking (hub-spoke, NSGs, UDRs, Azure Firewall, VPN, ExpressRoute)
- Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, hybrid identity, PIM
- Azure VMs, scale sets, availability zones, load balancing, Bastion
- DR design, Azure Site Recovery, SLA modelling
- Azure Storage, Backup, lifecycle policies
- CAF and Landing Zones (management groups, policy, subscriptions)
- Azure Migrate and migration wave planning
- Azure Virtual Desktop
- PowerShell and Azure CLI
- Strong documentation and customer-facing delivery skills
