Gratitude in the workplace is more than a simple expression of appreciation - it is a powerful tool that shapes culture, strengthens relationships, and drives meaningful results. When gratitude is practiced consistently, it influences how people show up, how teams collaborate, and how leaders inspire.

Practicing gratitude consistently reinforces key pillars that benefit both the teams and the business: higher motivation and dedication, a healthy work atmosphere, authentic leadership, improved business results, and a sense of belonging.

For many of our colleagues, gratitude starts on a personal level and carries into their professional lives. Ivan Nikolov, Chief Accountant, shares how this connection fuels his motivation every day:

“In 2025, on a personal level, I am deeply thankful that all of my family members are healthy and well. Their support, love, and presence continue to be my greatest source of strength and motivation.

On a professional level, I am grateful to be part of a positive and supportive work environment, surrounded by colleagues who are always willing to help at any time. Working with such a dedicated and collaborative team makes every challenge easier and every success more meaningful. For them, I have one word that says it all: “T<3AM.”

This sense of support and collaboration creates an atmosphere where people feel encouraged to give their best. Anna Borisova, Talent Acquisition Manager, shares this sentiment, highlighting the collective growth and connection across teams:

“I’m truly grateful for the team I get to work with and for how we continue to grow and succeed together, both locally and across EMEA. I appreciate the support, trust, and everyday moments that make our work rewarding. I’m especially thankful for the friendships at work that keep growing and make this year even more meaningful.”

A healthy work environment is built on understanding, flexibility, and trust - especially during important life moments. Diana Nikolova, Human Resources Manager, reflects on how meaningful this balance has been throughout her journey with the company:

“This year I’m grateful for the time I had with my growing family - and equally grateful to return to a workplace that values balance and support. Having been with the company for 11 years, I truly appreciate the encouragement, opportunities, and trust I’ve been given throughout my journey here. It’s a rare thing to feel supported both personally and professionally, and I’m thankful to be part of a team that continues to make that possible.”

Such experiences reinforce a culture where people feel seen, valued, and respected as individuals.

Gratitude also plays a key role in authentic leadership and long-term engagement. When leaders recognize effort and invest in their teams, growth becomes a shared goal. Gabriela Petkova, Supervisor Vendor Debit, highlights how this mutual trust and development shape her daily motivation:

“On a personal level, I am grateful that the people closest and dearest to me continue to stand by my side and support me. On a professional level, I value the challenge of leading a large and close-knit team, whose growth motivates me every day. I am also thankful for the opportunities that allowed me to discover new horizons and expand my knowledge and skills within the company.”

Leadership grounded in gratitude creates space for learning, confidence, and progress.

As people grow and feel connected, the impact extends naturally to business results. Engaged teams perform better when they feel they truly belong. Dimitar Gruev, Senior Professional Purchasing, shares how this sense of connection has deepened over time:

“I’m grateful for the strong sense of belonging and support I feel at Ingram Micro. After almost nine years with the company, it feels more like a family than ever, and that truly means a lot to me. Knowing that I’m part of a team where people care about one another creates a positive and motivating environment.

I also deeply appreciate the ongoing development and modernization across the company, which not only keeps us moving forward but continues to inspire us to grow, learn, and improve together.”

When people are aligned and supported, progress becomes collective.

At the heart of gratitude is also the ability to be heard. Feeling that your voice matters builds confidence, ownership, and commitment. Antonia Stefanova, Senior Manager Accounting, captures this experience through her professional journey:

“I am grateful for the opportunities for professional development that allowed me to build on my skills and step outside of my comfort zone. I value the understanding and flexibility toward my personal needs, which gave me balance and peace of mind and helped me stay focused and effective.

I am thankful for the trust placed in me to participate in large-scale and meaningful projects that broadened my perspective and enriched my experience. Finally, I appreciate being part of an environment where my voice is heard and my opinions have real weight in decision-making.”

Together, these voices reflect what gratitude truly means in practice. It fuels motivation and dedication, nurtures a healthy work atmosphere, supports authentic leadership, strengthens results, and creates a genuine sense of belonging.

More than a value, gratitude is a shared experience - one that reminds us that success is built together, through trust, appreciation, and the people who make our workplace what it is.
