Description

As a Presales Solution Architect at Ingram Micro, you'll be more than just a technical expert — you'll be a trusted advisor to our partners, guiding them through the journey of adopting cloud services. Your primary focus will be to identify, develop, and close opportunities by working closely with our sales and marketing teams and applying your technical consulting and solutioning-led skills.

You'll engage with partners and end customers at various levels, from decision-makers to technical teams, ensuring they understand the value of Google’s cloud solutions. By aligning their needs with our solutions, you'll drive the transition from traditional models to cloud-managed services, driving to multi-year subscription buy-ins. By sharing best practices and insights, you'll contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.


Your contributions will be instrumental in the successful materialization of the sales opportunities, upselling, thereby contributing to the revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in pre-sales activities, including solutioning, cost estimation, proposal presentations, and partner enablement sessions.

  • Should be able to work independently on the Presales RFP/RFI to build solution proposals.

  • Drive modernization initiatives leveraging a broad range of GCP services to improve performance and efficiency (conduct in-depth application and infrastructure assessments and define modernization and migration paths).

  • Architect solutions on GCP based cloud infrastructure, modernization of legacy applications to cloud-native architectures.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to articulate solution concepts and influence teams.

  • Mentor partner engineering team and enforce best practices.

  • Working closely with the sales team to qualify leads, present the solution effectively, answer technical questions, accompany the sales team to customer/partner locations across India (need basis) for partner/customer meetings, and represent Ingram Micro at various events/workshops.

Skills:

  • Strong working experience in Presales with a focus on Google’s GCP (Google Cloud Platform),

  • Compute: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions

  • Networking: VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud CDN, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud Armor.

  • Database & Storage: AlloyDB, Cloud SQL, Spanner for relational workloads. Firestore, Bigtable for NoSQL applications

  • Security & IAM: Organization policies, IAM, Secret Manager, Certificate Manager, Security Command Center

  • Operations: Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Error Reporting, Cloud Trace.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience with Google infra, GKE, Terraform, Observability, CI/CD, Databases, and modernization projects.

  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Infrastructure and product solutions, and services.

  • Hands-on experience with GKE, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.

  • Demonstrated success in legacy system migration and cloud modernization (VMs Workload & Database modernization (SQL Server to PostgreSQL/AlloyDB).

  • Knowledge of observability frameworks (e.g., Prometheus and Grafana).

  • Good understanding of networking, security, and cloud-native architectures

  • Strong expertise Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and distributed systems.

  • Multi-cloud architectures with Cross-Cloud Interconnect

  • Exposure to Generative AI and agentic frameworks.

  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Required:

Minimum 4 to 5 years focused on Google’s cloud/hybrid cloud, infrastructure modernization, or managed services.

Certifications:

  • Required: Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect

  • Optional: Google Cloud Certified

  • Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer

  • Professional Cloud Database Engineer

  • Professional Cloud Network Engineer

  • Associate Google Workspace Administrator

  • Education: Degree or higher in Computer Science
