The Executive Director, Asia Pacific Marketing, will be responsible for leading our regional Marketing strategies, localizing platform Marketing and managing the P&L for the regional Marketing business in Asia Pacific, all to support the growth of Ingram Micro as the IT Industry’s most desired business partner. Our goal is to drive clear business outcomes with high-performing marketing plans, programs, manage regional marketing performance metrics, as well as use and develop selling skills for the company’s regional Marketing business. This role also serves as the regional strategic leader to localize and implement the global Marketing Playbook and digital marketing products developed to drive growth via Ingram Micro Xvantage, the company’s digital experience platform.
To do this, we strengthen Ingram Micro’s brand, modernize regional Marketing capabilities and automate our Marketing practices, and develop the talent within our Marketing organization.
This role will sit on our Asia Pacific and Marketing, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), reporting directly to the President of Asia Pacific and with a dotted line to the Senior Vice President, Global Marketing. Will be jointly responsible for Nine Countries Marketing KPI’s tied to the business results for each country, as well as the region’s Marketing P&L to grow and support business. You will also foster strong relationships with regional and local Vendor Representatives who rely on Ingram Micro to generate profitable growth. To do this, it will require collaboration and partnership with the nine countries’ key stakeholders, vendor partners, and customers to drive success in each of the independent markets.
Your role:
- Partner with country Managing Directors (MDs) and Country Chief Executives (CCEs) across the markets in APAC (Australia, New Zealand, India, China, and ASEAN/HK cluster) to shape and align marketing strategy, and direction with business objectives and go-to-market priorities with the global standardized Marketing Playbooks and strategies designed to acquire, engage and retain customers, as well as generate demand with end-user audiences on behalf of our customers.
- Influence and collaborate with diverse, multi-country marketing teams with varying levels of maturity, cultural dynamics, and business needs—to drive consistency, capability uplift, and shared success.
- Work closely with the regional Finance leaders to provide strategic oversight and guidance on marketing P&L performance across the cluster, enabling sustainable growth in vendor/partner marketing programs and year-on-year marketing income.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with vendors across the region; align with the global vendor programs, and other global and regionalized Marketing programs, as well as co-develop localized marketing strategies in partnership with country leadership teams.
- Identify and communicate regional shared services opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and operational optimization across markets together with the global Marketing Centers of Excellence (COEs).
- Act as a key marketing advisor within regional and country leadership forums, bringing strategic marketing insights and solutions to support business outcomes which reflect strong ROI measures as determined with country stakeholders and vendor partners, while also governing and managing compliance.
- Guide the execution of country-level growth marketing strategies to deliver against global Marketing KPIs, including pipeline, incremental revenue lift, retention, upsell, and expansion targets.
- Champion and strengthen Ingram Micro’s brand equity across markets by supporting countries in building a differentiated and impactful market presence.
- Ensuring marketing operations excellence across the region through the adoption of standardized automation, global processes, systems and MarTech tools, as well as regulatory compliance.
- Build regional marketing capability by fostering a strong network of in-country marketing professionals who can effectively support vendors, partners, and business stakeholders.
- Act as a change agent—driving alignment, adoption, and effective implementation of digital and Marketing transformation initiatives together with key stakeholders across the region.
- Support countries in collaboration with global PR and Social Media leaders to build strong external ecosystems, including media, key opinion leaders, and influencers, to enhance brand visibility and market influence.
What you bring to the role:
- A strategic and engaging leader with a bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 15+ years’ experience in distribution, Cloud or Software as a Services businesses, technology, product, or services industries with 10+ years in a senior leadership capacity and leading through subordinate managers.
- Established network of industry relationships, influential contacts and reputation across the APAC region.
- Extensive, relevant, and proven Channel Marketing and Corporate Marketing experience, with deep knowledge about Digital Marketing, Demand Generation, and experience with platform businesses or eCommerce
- Highly collaborative and proven commercial marketing experience specifically in strategy, digital marketing, marketing intelligence, content development and packaging.
- Motivational leaders who is able to encourage, inspire and build team spirit among associates, bring about mutual respect and cooperation and work effectively within a matrix organizational structure.
- Financial and analytical mindset to drive profitable Marketing P&L and comfortable partnering with data analytical teams to measure Marketing performance and overall business results.
- Excellence in Marketing Operations capabilities to drive Marketing Operation Excellence and Governance.
- Change-oriented, and business-minded with the ability to influence new solutions and be hands-on to implement and execute for results; ability to balance strategy with operational rigor across teams and projects.
