We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced AWS Solutions Specialist to join our AWS team and play a key role in driving the growth and adoption of AWS solutions across our partner ecosystem. This role is instrumental in strengthening our position as a leading AWS Services and Solutions provider by helping partners identify, position, and accelerate cloud opportunities.
The AWS Solutions Specialist acts as a trusted advisor to partners and customers, translating business challenges into cloud-based solutions and aligning AWS capabilities with customer needs. Working closely with sales, technical, and services teams, this individual will support solution positioning, opportunity development, partner enablement, go-to-market initiatives, and business growth.
A successful AWS Solutions Specialist will have a strong understanding of AWS technologies, cloud transformation initiatives, and partner-led sales motions, combined with excellent stakeholder management and business development skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development & Solution Positioning
- Identify, develop, and drive AWS cloud opportunities across the partner ecosystem.
- Work closely with AWS and internal sales teams to generate, qualify, and progress cloud opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to partners and customers on AWS solutions, programs, and best practices.
- Support the development and execution of AWS go-to-market strategies and growth initiatives.
- Promote AWS programs such as Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), Well-Architected Framework Review (WAFR), and Optimization and Licensing Assessment (OLA).
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the Ingram Micro portfolio.
- Maintain a strong understanding of AWS services, market trends, and competitive positioning.
Partner Enablement & Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with AWS partners and key stakeholders.
- Deliver workshops, presentations, and enablement sessions to partners and customers.
- Support partner recruitment, onboarding, and capability development initiatives.
- Drive awareness and adoption of AWS service offerings and solution practices.
- Collaborate with AWS Partner Development Managers and Solution Architects to maximize partner success.
Opportunity Management & Solution Support
- Support opportunity qualification and discovery sessions to understand customer business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with technical consultants and architects to define appropriate solution designs.
- Contribute to proposal development, Statements of Work (SOWs), and customer presentations.
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure successful solution positioning and opportunity progression.
- Assist with pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting activities.
Strategic Initiatives
- Contribute to the development of regional AWS solution offerings and service propositions.
- Stay informed on emerging AWS technologies, including AI/ML, Data & Analytics, Security, and Cloud Modernization.
- Share market insights and customer trends to help shape future business initiatives.
- Actively participate in the AWS community and internal knowledge-sharing activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Desirable Qualifications
- AWS Cloud Practitioner, Associate, or Professional Certification.
- AWS Specialty Certifications are highly valued.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and multi-cloud environments is desirable.
- Certifications or experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are considered an advantage.
Expected Experience
- 3+ years of experience in AWS cloud solutions, partner development, business development, or solution sales.
- Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud adoption frameworks.
- Exposure to AWS programs such as MAP, OLA, and WAFR.
- Experience engaging with customers and partners on cloud transformation initiatives.
- Understanding of cloud migration, modernization, security, and cost optimization strategies.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies including AI/ML, Data Analytics, Containers, and Serverless architectures.
- Experience working within a cloud, technology, distribution, or consulting environment.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud solutions is a plus.
