About the Role
This is a Senior HR Business Partner role to support an operational workforce across our Distribution and Warehouse business. This is a highly visible role partnering closely with the site leadership team and operational leaders, providing strategic and hands-on support across employee relations, industrial relations, workforce management, performance management, safety, organisational change, and leadership coaching. A key focus of the role will be leading Enterprise Agreement negotiations, managing union relationships, and providing expert guidance on complex employee relations matters. This position will suit a resilient HR professional who thrives in fast-paced, blue-collar environments and is confident managing complexity, influencing stakeholders, and navigating sensitive situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders across Operations to provide trusted HR advice and build leadership capability and coach managers to drive positive people outcomes.
- Lead complex employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances, disciplinary processes, and workplace conflict.
- Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations and support industrial relations activities, including union engagement and consultation processes.
- Provide guidance on employment legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and workplace compliance.
- Support organisational change, workforce planning, and business transformation initiatives.
- Foster a strong culture of physical and psychological safety across the workforce.
- Manage workers compensation and return-to-work cases.
- Identify workforce trends and implement practical solutions to improve engagement, performance, and retention.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or equivalent role.
- Strong background supporting operational, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, logistics, or mixed blue-collar and white-collar workforces.
- Demonstrated experience leading Enterprise Agreement negotiations and bargaining processes.
- Proven experience working within unionised environments.
- Strong employee relations capability, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Experience managing workers' compensation and return-to-work cases will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks, and workplace compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and initiatives.
