Ingram Micro wins the “Best Employer 2026” award among companies participating in Manager for a Day in Bulgaria
10 Young Students Took on Leadership Roles at Ingram Micro in Bulgaria for a Day

What does it take to lead a team, make decisions, and manage business operations? On October 22, 10 young people from Sofia, Varna, and Gotse Delchev had the opportunity to find out firsthand.
As part of Manager for a Day, an initiative organized by Junior Achievement Bulgaria, we welcomed them to our Sofia office, where they stepped into leadership roles across our Sofia Center and spent the day alongside the people who hold these positions.
From Finance and Marketing to Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Support, the participants got a closer look at different areas of our business, the responsibilities behind leadership roles, and what the work involves day to day.
10 Roles, 10 Mentors, and a Day of Learning
Each participant was paired with a mentor from our leadership team, who shared their experience and insights into their role.

It also gives our colleagues a chance to share their knowledge, answer questions, and help the next generation explore their professional interests.
Recognized by Bulgaria’s Future Leaders
The day ended on a high note at the initiative’s closing gala, where Ingram Micro received the “Best Employer 2026” award, voted for by the young people participating in Manager for a Day in Bulgaria.
Organized by Junior Achievement Bulgaria, Manager for a Day is one of the country’s pioneering and longest-running national initiatives dedicated to supporting young talent and connecting education with the world of work. Each year, it brings students together with companies from across industries, giving young people the opportunity to experience different professions firsthand, gain insight into business operations, and explore potential career paths. In 2026, the initiative brought together 350 high school and university students and participating companies from all sectors, highlighting its broad reach and its role in preparing the next generation for the workplace.
Receiving the award is particularly meaningful to us because it was voted for by the young participants themselves - people who will help shape the future of work. It reinforces the value of giving young talent opportunities to learn, ask questions, meet experienced professionals, and see what different career paths can look like in practice.
A big thank you to Junior Achievement Bulgaria for bringing this initiative to life, to all 10 students who joined us for the day with their curiosity and enthusiasm, and to our colleagues who became mentors and shared their time and experience.
We’re glad we could contribute to this important national initiative, and proud to have received recognition from the next generation of professionals.
