Your role:
The Vice President, Global Operations Excellence & Transformation is responsible for driving enterprise-wide operational performance across Ingram Micro's global operations network. This executive leader will develop and execute the strategy to improve productivity, optimize cost structure, increase capacity, standardize best practices, and accelerate operational transformation across distribution, fulfillment, reverse logistics, lifecycle services, and supply chain operations.
The role serves as the global leader for operational excellence, continuous improvement, productivity, and transformation initiatives, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, and Commercial leaders to deliver measurable business results.
This leader will establish a scalable operating system that enables sustainable improvements in productivity, service, quality, throughput, safety, and customer experience while supporting the company's long-term growth strategy. The Vice President will identify and execute high-impact opportunities across labor, process, automation, technology, facility design, and network operations to create competitive advantage and improve operating margins.
The position requires a proven transformation leader with experience driving large-scale operational improvement initiatives across complex global organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Transformation & Productivity
- Establish and lead the global Operations Excellence and Transformation strategy aligned to company growth, productivity, and profitability objectives.
- Own the global operational productivity roadmap and partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver measurable performance improvements.
- Lead enterprise transformation initiatives focused on cost reduction, labor productivity, capacity optimization, service improvement, and operational scalability.
- Build and maintain a multi-year portfolio of transformation initiatives with clear financial targets, timelines, accountability, and benefit realization.
Operational Performance & Network Optimization
- Drive improvements in network productivity, throughput, capacity utilization, inventory flow, labor efficiency, quality performance, and customer experience.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering leaders to optimize facility design, material flow, warehouse processes, automation solutions, and operating models.
- Develop benchmarking strategies that compare operational performance internally and externally to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead assessments of operational capabilities, constraints, and performance gaps to prioritize investments and resources.
Continuous Improvement & Operating Standards
- Establish and deploy a global operational excellence framework that creates consistency across regions and business units.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement through robust governance, capability building, leadership coaching, and Lean principles.
- Standardize operational best practices and ensure successful replication across the global network.
- Lead adoption of structured problem-solving methodologies and data-driven decision making at all levels of the organization.
- Lead the deployment of Lean methodologies across global operations, creating a common approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Lean principles and tools, including Value Stream Mapping, process mapping, Kaizen, 5S, standard work, root-cause analysis, visual management, waste elimination, and process optimization.
- Expertly use Value Stream Mapping and other Lean diagnostic tools to identify sources of waste, bottlenecks, variation, excess motion, unnecessary handling, and process inefficiencies across end-to-end operations.
Technology & Innovation
- Partner with Technology, Automation, and Engineering teams to identify and deploy innovative solutions that improve productivity and performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, automation platforms, AI-enabled solutions, and industry best practices to strengthen operational competitiveness.
- Support development of the long-term automation and operational technology roadmap.
Executive Leadership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior executives on operational performance, productivity opportunities, transformation priorities, and investment decisions.
- Provide executive-level visibility into transformation progress, financial benefits, operational risks, and strategic opportunities.
- Build and lead a high-performing global team of Operational Excellence, Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Transformation professionals.
What you bring to the role:
Experience
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in complex operations, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, fulfillment, distribution, or engineering environments.
- Significant experience leading large-scale operational transformation and productivity programs within global organizations.
- Proven success delivering measurable improvements in cost, productivity, throughput, capacity, service, and operational performance.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain, and Finance organizations.
- Demonstrated success building operational excellence capabilities and sustaining enterprise-wide change.
- Experience supporting highly automated, technology-enabled, and labor-intensive operational environments.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
Position may require up to 50% travel including international.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $247,700.00 - $470,600.00 per year.
The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
