The Vice President, Global Engineering is a senior executive leader responsible for defining, standardizing, and executing the global engineering strategy across supply chain operations. This role provides leadership across operations engineering, network design, automation, systems, and customer solutions with a focus on scalability, cost optimization, productivity, and operational excellence across a complex, high-volume global network.
This leader partners closely with Operations, IT, Finance, regional executives, and customers to deliver transformative engineering solutions that enable growth, improve service, and drive sustainable competitive advantage.
Your role:
GLOBAL ENGINEERING STRATEGY & EXECUTION
Set and communicate a clear global vision and strategy for supply chain engineering aligned with enterprise objectives
Lead global engineering functions including site engineering, facilities design, network optimization, capacity planning, automation, material handling, and large-scale capital projects
Establish global standards, methodologies, and performance metrics to ensure consistency and scalability across regions
Oversee global engineering roadmaps and execution of strategic initiatives supporting distribution, transportation, and end-to-end supply chain operations
Evaluate and approve supply chain configuration changes and capital investment decisions that measurably improve throughput, capacity, service, and cost structure
Own the definition and global rollout of supply chain execution systems including WMS, TMS, YMS, OMS, network modeling, and related optimization tools in partnership with Technology leadership
SUPPLY CHAIN PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & INNOVATION
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, asset utilization, quality, and cost reduction across distribution and transportation operations
Partner with regional and country leaders to identify opportunities to standardize and improve core operational processes
Develop global process maturity models, benchmarking frameworks, and best-practice standards
Deliver actionable insights and long-term roadmaps, including 3–5-year logistics, capacity, and network plans
NETWORK DESIGN & AUTOMATION LEADERSHIP
Define and lead the global network design strategy using data-driven analytical models to enable consistent decision-making
Standardize network modeling and analytics capabilities across geographies
Define the future-state automation strategy globally, accounting for regional maturity, business needs, and return on investment
Serve as executive sponsor for major automation, transformation, and multi-tenant warehouse initiatives
CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS & VALUE CREATION
Establish and lead the solutions design vision for the organization
Partner directly with key customers to deliver proactive, scalable, and cost-effective supply chain solutions
Translate customer requirements into network, capacity, systems, and operational design solutions
Oversee solution design, project management, and delivery of complex customer programs
FINANCIAL, CAPITAL & VENDOR LEADERSHIP
Develop and manage global operating and capital budgets related to engineering, facilities, and supply chain transformation
Govern capital investments to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and financial return expectations
Serve as executive sponsor for major RFPs and sourcing initiatives
Partner with Strategic Sourcing and Finance to negotiate contracts, manage vendors, and optimize total cost of ownership
PEOPLE LEADERSHIP & GOVERNANCE
Lead, develop, and inspire a global organization of executive directors, directors, managers, and technical professionals
Build strong leadership pipelines and succession plans
Drive talent development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness
Foster collaboration across global, regional, and functional teams
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)
Master’s degree in Engineering (preferred)
MBA strongly preferred
10–15+ years of progressive experience in engineering, supply chain, or operations leadership
Minimum of 5 years in an executive leadership role within a global, matrixed, high-volume organization (Fortune 100 or similar environment preferred)
Demonstrated success leading large-scale supply chain transformations, automation programs, and global systems implementations
Demonstrated experience with green field multi-channel automation design, business case development, securing funding, project management, implementation, and delivery of business case requirements
Experience leading optimization of automation, CMS and WCS capabilities across a global network to achieve improved reliability, scalability, and cost optimization
Demonstrated experience delivering ROI’s across a capital investment portfolio in excess of $50M
Position requires global travel, up to 30% of the time.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $247,700.00 - $470,600.00 per year.
The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
