Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimization of company facilities and automated distribution systems. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and safety of facility infrastructure, including conveyors, scanning systems, and PLC-controlled equipment.

The Maintenance Manager leads a team of professionals, manages vendor partnerships, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and support business objectives. The role also oversees facility planning, cost estimation, and ensures compliance with company standards, building codes, and environmental and safety regulations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day maintenance operations across facilities and automated systems, including conveyors, scanning systems, and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of maintenance professionals; set objectives and ensure delivery of operational results
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
  • Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of moderately complex to complex equipment and facility issues
  • Perform and oversee maintenance of conveyor systems, including removal, replacement, adjustments, and repairs
  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to support maintenance, repairs, and capital projects
  • Estimate labor, materials, and project costs for repairs, upgrades, and facility improvements
  • Support facility planning by reviewing design requirements, costs, and infrastructure needs
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to optimize maintenance processes and reduce downtime
  • Analyze maintenance and operational data to improve system performance, reliability, and lifecycle management
  • Identify and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact
  • Oversee repair schedules, inspections, and maintenance activities across building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical)
  • Influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align maintenance priorities with business objectives
  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address operational challenges and resource constraints

What You Bring to the Role

  • Strong experience managing maintenance operations in a distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership experience managing skilled professionals and support staff, with the ability to influence and develop teams
  • Expertise in automated systems including conveyors, PLCs, and material handling equipment
  • Ability to manage both day-to-day operational demands and long-term strategic maintenance planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex, non-routine issues
  • Proven experience implementing preventive maintenance programs and driving system optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives (lean methodologies preferred)
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and respond to urgent operational needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum 7- years of relevant maintenance or facilities experience, including experience in automated environments. Minimum 4 years of people leadership or supervisory experience

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $88,700.00 - $150,800.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
