Learning Through Support and Focus
Tameem Alskran Associate Professional (Sales Operations) Saudi Arabia

Growing into the Role from Day One
Tameem Alskran is an Associate Professional, based in Saudi Arabia. He joined Ingram Micro one year ago, starting his role in operations, where he supports the full order process, from receiving purchase orders through to invoicing and coordination with the warehouse.
From his first days, Tameem understood he had joined a large, global company, but what stood out most to him was the human side of the experience.“When I joined, I saw that it was a big company,” he shares. “But what I really noticed was how supportive the team and the department are.”
That early impression set the tone for how he settled in, learned his role, and built confidence over time.
Staying Focused and Taking Responsibility
In operations, attention to detail matters. Tameem describes his daily work as focused, structured, and responsibility-driven.“You should focus on every purchase order and every detail,” he explains. “You need to understand what is required, apply it correctly, and make sure everything is clear.”
This focus helped him build confidence quickly, especially in areas where he had limited prior experience. Early challenges became opportunities to learn, supported by guidance from colleagues.“When facing complex operational challenges, I collaborate with my colleagues to find the best solutions. This exchange of expertise helps us refine our processes and ensure maximum efficiency
That ongoing learning helped him feel more capable of every task.
Learning Through People and Practice
For Tameem, development came from daily work, shared knowledge, and open communication. From technical understanding to interpersonal skills, learning happened continuously.“I developed technical skills, and I refined my professional communication style,” he says. “, how to discuss things clearly, and how to work well with others.”
Support came from all directions. Managers, colleagues, and team members played an active role in helping him improve.“Everyone from the first day was supporting me,” he shares. “My manager and my colleagues always say, ' Come, let us learn, let’s see how we can optimize this process.”
Asking questions is part of that culture.“You cannot learn without asking,” Tameem explains. “You should ask questions to develop yourself, and you will find the answers.”
That openness helped him grow faster than he expected.“I am growing more than I expected,” he says.
Feeling Supported Every Step of the Way
Support from leadership made a lasting difference. Tameem describes his manager as both focused on results and committed to developing the team.“He wants everyone to improve together,” Tameem explains. “And at the same time, he is very supportive.”
Whenever questions or challenges came up, help was always available.“Every time I ask, I get support,” he says.
Even challenges became part of the learning experience rather than obstacles.“You should have challenges,” Tameem reflects. “After that, with the team's support, you find the solution and move forward.”
Looking Ahead with Motivation and Confidence
Looking to the future, Tameem sees Ingram Micro as a place where growth can continue.“It is a big company, and when you learn here, you learn a lot,” he says. “You also see how supportive the team and the department are.”
He often shares his experience with others outside the company.“If you want to develop yourself, come here,” he says. “I already recommend it to my friends.”
For those at the start of their journey, what matters most to Tameem is curiosity and a willingness to learn.“Ask questions, make challenges for yourself, and keep learning,” he shares. “Everyone here wants to support you.”
As Tameem continues his path, he does so with focus, confidence, and appreciation for the people who help shape his growth every day.
