Growing Through New Challenges 

Abdullah Alshehri is an Account Manager based in Saudi Arabia. He joined Ingram Micro one year and five months ago, starting his journey in an operations role during a period of major system change. It was his first experience working in a technology company, and it came at a time when the business was moving from one system to another. 

“I joined during the migration period,” Abdullah explains. “Some people don’t like this kind of pressure, but for me, I liked it because it gave me a lot of knowledge.” From the very beginning, Abdullah saw challenge not as a risk, but as an opportunity to learn, understand the business, and contribute in a meaningful way. 

Learning Fast with the Right Support 

Starting in a new industry can feel overwhelming, especially during a time of transition. What made the difference for Abdullah was the support around him. “I found a very good team and a professional manager,” he says. “He guided me in every step and aligned with me to understand the process.” 

Colleagues played an equally important role. Knowledge was shared openly, and learning happened every day. “They were happy to support me at any time,” Abdullah shares. “We worked as one team, and this helped me learn fast and move smoothly.” 

This collective approach made even complex topics more approachable, especially when working with detailed systems and tools. 

Turning Complexity into Confidence 

As Abdullah became more familiar with the tools and processes, his confidence grew. He learned how to review orders efficiently, identify potential issues, and support both operations and sales teams. “I learned how to scan orders and spot issues,” he explains. “This helps save time and supports the business.” 

Learning happened both through day-to-day work and through guidance from experienced colleagues. “We learn from practice and from each other,” Abdullah says. “The tools here have many details, and understanding them takes time, but they help you grow a lot.” 

This growth was not only technical. It also strengthened his problem-solving skills and his ability to collaborate across teams. 

Solving Problems Together 

One of the most challenging moments for Abdullah came during the system migration, when reporting issues affected business processes. “We faced a big issue that impacted our reports,” he explains. “It took several months to fix.” 

Working closely with his manager and other teams, Abdullah helped investigate the problem, align with internal and external partners, and follow through until it was resolved. “This experience gave me strong knowledge,” he says. “I learned how to identify issues, report them, and follow up until they are fixed.” 

For Abdullah, this challenge became one of the most valuable learning experiences of his career. 

Moving Forward with Confidence 

The moment that stood out most for Abdullah came when his efforts were recognized, and he was offered the opportunity to move into an Account Manager role. “When they told me the management was happy with my work, I felt very proud,” he shares. “I saw that the pressure had results.” 

Today, Abdullah feels he is growing even more than he expected. He often shares his experience with others who are considering joining the company. “This is a big technology company with opportunities to grow,” Abdullah explains. “You can really find yourself here.” 

As he looks ahead, Abdullah remains motivated by learning, collaboration, and the feeling of being part of a supportive environment where growth happens every day.
