Technology never stands still. Innovations emerge, markets evolve, and businesses continuously adapt to meet changing customer needs.

For Guillermo Arroyave, that constant evolution is what makes his work so rewarding.

As Business Unit Manager for Connectivity at Ingram Micro Colombia, Guillermo leads the HPE Networking business, including Aruba, Juniper, and Teltonika. Working closely with partners, vendors, and his team, he helps organizations navigate a highly competitive and rapidly changing market while delivering connectivity solutions that support growth and innovation.

"What I enjoy most about working with HPE at Ingram Micro is constant evolution," Guillermo says. "There is always something new to learn, new opportunities to explore, and new ways to help partners succeed."

Guiding Partners Through Transformation

One of the most significant initiatives Guillermo has led recently was the transition of Juniper into the HPE Networking portfolio.

For partners and customers, major brand transitions can create uncertainty. Questions arise around products, positioning, and long-term strategy. Guillermo saw the transition as an opportunity to help partners move forward with confidence.

Working closely with both his internal team and the channel ecosystem, he helped guide partners through the change while maintaining trust and relationships built over many years.

"The transition gave our partners a smoother path to a unified HPE Networking portfolio and reduced complexity for customers evaluating solutions."

Beyond the operational aspects of the transition, Guillermo and his team focused on something even more important: helping customers and partners understand the benefits of the new portfolio while ensuring business continuity throughout the process.

The result was a successful transition that strengthened trusted relationships and reinforced Ingram Micro's role as a strategic advisor during a period of significant change.

Taking Ownership When It Matters Most

For Guillermo, ownership means staying committed to finding solutions, especially when situations become complex.

He recalls a challenging case involving customer licenses and support contracts that required extensive coordination across multiple teams.

Rather than allowing the issue to remain unresolved, Guillermo took ownership of driving the case forward. He worked closely with HPE teams, clarified responsibilities, and advocated for a fair resolution that protected the customer's interests.

"I worked closely with HPE's team to move the case toward a fair resolution, ensuring the customer wasn't left carrying the impact of an issue that wasn't theirs to begin with."

Experiences like this have reinforced one of Guillermo's core leadership beliefs: success is built on accountability, trust, and a willingness to support others when challenges arise.

Growing as a Leader

Since joining Ingram Micro, Guillermo has embraced every opportunity to develop his leadership capabilities.

"Since joining Ingram Micro, I've grown significantly as a leader. The company places real emphasis on leadership development, and that's something I've fully embraced."

Working with HPE teams, leadership groups, and colleagues from different countries has played an important role in that growth.

Exposure to diverse perspectives and approaches has broadened his understanding of the business and strengthened his ability to lead through both opportunities and challenges.

"Working with HPE and colleagues from different countries has been incredibly enriching. There's so much diversity of thought, knowledge, and perspective on how to approach a problem or an opportunity."

For Guillermo, these experiences demonstrate the power of learning from others and remaining open to new ideas, regardless of where they come from.

Stronger Together Across Borders

Collaboration is a recurring theme throughout Guillermo's career journey.

Whether working with partners in Colombia or exchanging ideas with colleagues from other regions, he believes that shared knowledge creates stronger outcomes for everyone.

"Sharing experiences and best practices with colleagues and partners from other regions helps us improve results and become a stronger, more aligned team."

This global collaboration not only helps drive business success but also creates opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth.

In a business that evolves as quickly as technology, that ability to learn from others is a powerful advantage.

A Culture Built on Trust

When asked what stands out most about Ingram Micro, Guillermo's answer has little to do with technology.

Instead, he points to the people.

"Trust, respect, and a genuine focus on people, not just results. It's a culture where collaboration and continuous learning are truly encouraged."

For Guillermo, that's what makes Ingram Micro a place where people can thrive.

Employees are encouraged to share ideas, support one another, and continue developing their skills while working with some of the industry's leading technologies and partners.

Why Ingram Micro

Guillermo believes the people who thrive at Ingram Micro are resilient, adaptable, collaborative, and always willing to learn.

His own journey reflects that mindset. From leading a major portfolio transition to helping customers navigate complex challenges, he has continuously embraced change as an opportunity for growth.

For professionals looking for a career where they can learn from talented colleagues, work with industry-leading technologies, and make a meaningful impact, Ingram Micro offers an environment where growth and development are part of the everyday experience.
