About the Role

We are seeking a customer-focused and results-driven Technical Solutions Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to reseller and internal partners, helping identify technology solutions that meet customer business needs while driving revenue growth through consultative selling.

The ideal candidate combines strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a passion for delivering complete solutions. You will work across multiple communication channels—primarily email-based contact—to support partners, uncover opportunities, and recommend products, services, warranties, maintenance plans, and complementary technologies.

What You'll Do

Solution Selling & Customer Engagement

  • Engage with reseller and internal partners to understand customer requirements, business objectives, budget, and project timelines.
  • Identify and recommend technology solutions that align with customer needs.
  • Build comprehensive solutions by incorporating appropriate products, services, support offerings, warranties, maintenance plans, and adjacent technologies.
  • Proactively identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to maximize customer value and business growth.

Partner Support & Relationship Management

  • Provide timely and professional support through phone, email, online chat, and scheduled virtual meetings.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the sales process.
  • Build strong relationships with partners through excellent service and solution expertise.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunity details.

Performance & Business Results

  • Consistently achieve productivity, engagement, and sales-related performance metrics.
  • Gather key opportunity details, including:
    • Budget
    • End-user information
    • Business requirements
    • Decision-making process
    • Expected close date
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of professional work experience OR 2+ years of experience in a sales, technology, customer support, or solutions-focused role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and related business software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Previous experience selling or supporting technology products and solutions.
  • Experience with consultative sales, account management, inside sales, or technical support.
  • Knowledge of IT hardware, software, cloud solutions, networking, or related technologies.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $50,500.00 - $80,800.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
