Journey to the Cloud: Namita’s Story at Ingram Micro

Namita has been at Ingram Micro for over 16 years, “It’s been an amazing journey of growth and learning. I started in the Enterprise Application Integration Team, where I’ve had the pleasure of working with the best in technology leaders who built the integration platform at Ingram Micro for front-end systems to transact with ERP systems. From there, I transitioned into the team leader role which allowed me to expand. Then, I took the next step in my professional career to learn the newest technology and joined the Cloud IaaS team. Now, as a part of the Cloud Professional Services Team, I’m thrilled to be at the forefront of technology innovation.” 

When asked for her role, she explained “As a Services Architect I wear a few different hats. Primarily, I’m responsible for delivering professional service engagement for our partners and end customers around their cloud implementation requirements. I also play a key role in mentoring new team members and collaborating with our teams based overseas.” 

As a Services Architect, Namita plays a key role in delivering professional services for our partners and end customers. “Every day is challenging! I hear a lot of different problem statements and challenges that our partners face in their current infrastructure solutions. By moving more and more customers into the Cloud model, I contribute to the overall cloud consumption with the top cloud providers like AWS and Azure, and eventually the overall growth and success of the Cloud organization.” 

Ingram Micro supports professional growth and career development, encouraging team members to learn new technologies and get certified. “Ingram Micro leaders encourage their teams to invest their time in learning new technologies and get certified. They also provide the platform to learn or reimburse as needed depending on what your goal is that will benefit us and the organization and effectively the customers.” 

On the topic of community and engagement within the organization, our associate shares, “Ingram Micro is fantastic at fostering a sense of community. We have town halls every month where the leaders across different business units come together and share the latest advances made with Ingram Micro on specific platforms or initiatives. This town hall not only allows us to connect with colleagues from different teams but also reinforces our shared commitment to the company’s mission. Leaders encourage us to share our questions or concerns and they are briefly answered during or soon after the gathering. There are a lot of social events as well that bring all of the associates together to take a break from their daily jobs and have a relaxing and fun time together. Our leader organizes a team lunch every couple of weeks for the team members to come together and have a casual time.”
