Dominique, HR Business Partner Operations EMEA, shares how stretch roles and mentorship shaped her growth.

A passion for people and progress 

Based in the Netherlands, Dominique Scholten started her journey five years ago as an HR Advisor supporting Benelux Operations. Today, she serves as HR Business Partner for Operations EMEA. Her story reflects a consistent drive to grow, supported by mentors who recognized her potential. 

What sparked her growth 

“The biggest growth opportunity for me has been the stretch assignments I took on with the support of my previous manager, Hilco van Maanen,” Dominique shares. These assignments pushed her beyond her comfort zone and gave her the confidence to operate at a higher level. 

Learning Through Exposure 

“Ingram Micro’s fast-moving environment continuously challenges you to learn and adapt.” Dominique embraced this pace, using it to expand her HR expertise. 

“Exposure to Inclusion, Rewards, Talent Management, and Organization Design has strengthened my skills and broadened my HR perspective.” This diverse experience allowed her to contribute strategically and partner effectively at a regional scale. 

Achieving regional impact 

''With the support of Anna Maddison and Jan Martin Witbreuk, I took full ownership of Talent Assessment and Talent Planning across the EMEA region while also leading and guiding the EMEA Operations HR Community to ensure alignment and consistency. Working closely with senior leadership enabled me to deepen my understanding of strategic priorities across the region and further prepared me for my current role.''
