At Ingram Micro, we believe in nurturing talent, fostering growth, and empowering our team members to reach their full potential. Today, we share the inspiring journey of Sandra Núñez, Manager of Operations at Ingram Micro Peru.

Our story begins with a simple question posed by Sandra to the warehouse team “Do you want to grow or stay where you are?”. This question sparked a transformational journey that would redefine how our team approached their roles and responsibilities. “Initially, we focused on coaching, emphasizing that our warehouse members could achieve greatness. But it wasn’t just about skill development; it was about mindset.” shares Sandra.

To achieve this, together with the Human Resources team, launched a leadership-by-assignment program. The goal was clear: empower the warehouse team to make decisions, take ownership, and drive positive change. “As the program unfolded, our team began to see beyond their daily tasks. They realized that their roles were not just about following instructions; they were about making impactful decisions. They held each other accountable for maintaining a clean warehouse, coordinating with other departments, and even addressing errors. Suddenly, it wasn’t just about individual performance; it was about collective impact”, Sandra adds.

Speaking about the inclusion of women, Sandra shares, “The inclusion of women not only continued seamlessly during the pandemic but also boosted our productivity significantly! Today, women make up 35% of the warehouse team in Peru, proving that together, we’re stronger and more efficient. The culture has shifted –now we’re not just women; we’re all colleagues, working together towards success”.

At Ingram Micro, we don’t just provide solutions; we empower associates to shape their futures. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures that every team member thrives. Discover your path at Ingram Micro Careers.
