This position is based in our Buffalo, NY office with the opportunity to work up to two days remote per week.

Our team is made up of passionate professionals who are committed to driving the success of Cisco's technical enablement force. We thrive on collaboration, innovation, and delivering exceptional learning experiences to our partner community. As a Sr. Technical Enablement Engineer, you will provide pre-sales consultation, training, demonstration, and education to partners to help them build and/or enhance their practice. You will lead our enablement efforts across our Cisco portfolio. This is achieved by helping partners grow their business through new and emerging vendors, products, and services (i.e. solutions) ultimately accelerating their success with Ingram Micro.

In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with partners and vendors by working openly and collaboratively to understand and plan for business needs. This role focuses on educating partners about leading IT solutions in a way that helps them build strong practices in key areas. It’s about raising the reseller’s technical know-how so they’re better equipped to win business with relevant, well-aligned solutions. Success also depends on understanding how the partner’s sales organization operates and engaging the right stakeholders to drive meaningful collaboration.

What you'll do:

  • Proactively introduce / demonstrate / train on: Modern business needs; desired business outcomes; market trends and market opportunities; emerging technologies, vendors & products; & high-margin professional services (altogether known as "solutions").
  • Enable partners to become more proactive, profitable & services-driven "trusted advisors" to their end user clientele.
  • Provide relevant thought leadership and strategic advice / guidance to decision-makers and key stakeholders to influence them to invest in accelerating their growth through Ingram Micro.
  • Effective Sr Technical Enablement Engineers in this role typically need to hold advanced badges and certifications in "advanced solutions" technology categories. As well as exhibit high levels of executive presence, business acumen, sales acumen, and technical acumen

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical roles related to data center
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical training or facilitation.
  • Strong background in Cisco Solutions, IE, Networking, Datacenter, and/Or security.
  • Strong presentations skills
  • Ideally partner experience, working with or working for
  • Strong communication skills

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,000.00 - $173,400.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
