Recognition

In June 2023, Ingram Micro Canada was proud be certified as a Great Place to Work. Over 82% of our employees said this was a great place to work, compared to 60% of employees at a typical Canadian organization. History of Ingram Micro Canada

1979

Mirco D, Inc. was founded.

1985

The Canadian operations of Software Distribution Services acquired 50 percent of Aviva Software of Toronto leading to Ingram Micro Canada's Inception.

1986

Ingram Software purchased the remaining half in December 1986, renaming the company Ingram Software Ltd.

1988

Ingram Micro D acquired Frantek Computer Products, Inc. of Ottawa and renamed the group Ingram Micro Canada with headquarters in Mississauga.

1996

Ingram Micro splits off from Ingram Industries and becomes a public company listed on the NYSE.

2013

Ingram Micro acquires Canada-based SoftCom, a leading global cloud services provider. Moves further into the reverse logistics space with the purchase of U.S.-based CloudBlue Technologies.

2015

Ingram Micro acquires Odin, a leading provider of commercial cloud management platform technologies and professional services. Multiple acquisitions to further build out Advanced Solutions, Cloud and Specialty businesses.

2016

Ingram Micro joins the HNA Group. HNA Group is a Chinese conglomerate that operates across various industries.

2017

Ingram Micro acquires TPG, a leading distributor of DC/POS equipment and provider of key injection services in the U.S. and Canada. Also Ingram Micro Acquries U.S.-based Cloud Harmonics, a value-added Cyber Security distributor.

2018

Ingram Micro unveils new cloud commerce platform, CloudBlue.

2019

Ingram Micro acquires France-based Abbakan, a value-added Cyber Security distributor.

2020

Ingram Micro joins Platinum Equity as a part of Platinum’s portfolio of industry leading companies. Ingram Micro also acquires Ictivity, an IT Services provider, and to further the CloudBlue platform, acquires HarmonyPSA.

Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP & RPP)

Ingram Micro offers and encourages associates to participate in the Ingram Micro Retirement Savings Plan. The plan consists of a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (for contributions made by the associate) and a Registered Pension Plan (for company matching contributions) that can help associates save for retirement and a secure financial future.

All full-time Ingram Micro associates receive Vacation, PTO, and Volunteer Days. Associates may purchase additional time off, in the form of Flex days. We value our employee's hard work and providing opportunities for vacations and paid time off is essential for nurturing their holistic well-being, fostering creativity, and enhancing job satisfaction.

Ingram Micro encourages professional development by providing financial assistance to associates pursuing approved continuing education, training and certifications.
