This role combines the data and technical analysis functions in a single individual contributor. This role is expected to build and validate all Celonis dashboards, analyses, and standardized KPIs and translate data into actionable insights for daily operational use, drive the system/tool implementation behind them, identify source data, extracting, transforming, and loading it, building and optimizing the Celonis data model, writing PQL transformations, and managing Celonis test environments. This role is expected to partner closely with warehouse management analysts and process owners to translate business requirements into technical and data requirements, keep data loads clean, and provide ongoing technical support.
Seasoned professional individual contributor. Works independently with limited supervision. May manage projects/processes. Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
Provides solutions to a variety of complex technical and business matters. Will champion significant projects, programs and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity. May assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job.
Incumbents provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in his/her area of specialization. Generally free to determine work priorities based on general direction from managers.
Specialist in technical or business skills. Four-year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 5 years functional experience including a minimum of 3 years specific experience. Ability to make significant contribution to processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analyst — Build Analyses & KPIs in Celonis
• Collaborate with process owners and end users to understand their goals, objectives, and requirements and translate them into Celonis requirements and use cases.
• Design, implement, test, and validate all dashboards, analyses, and reports within Celonis.
• Define, build, and organize standardized KPIs, ensuring consistent calculation logic, and translate data into actionable insights users need for daily value generation.
• Document Celonis implementations and build a library of use cases.
• Manage and prioritize all incoming requests for Celonis enhancements.
• Lead business value workshops with process improvement and business teams to identify and qualify operational and process improvement opportunities.
• Support and enable end users.
Data Engineer — Technical Implementation & Support
• Work with business analysts and business application owners to translate business requirements and use cases into technical and data requirements.
• Identify all source system tables and fields that need to be brought into Celonis.
• Extract, transform, and load all source system data needed for each process implemented within Celonis.
• Write and maintain PQL transformations and build the Celonis data model and connections for each process.
• Revise and optimize existing calculations and data queries to improve efficiency and ensure ideal response times.
• Manage Celonis test environments, including validation and promotion of data models, transformations, and assets.
• Collaborate with warehouse management analysts and business experts to validate data within Celonis and ensure smooth data loads.
• Document all technical and data requirements and all extract, transform, load (ETL) work.
• Provide ongoing support for any data-related issues.
Required Skills / Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree); minimum 5 years functional experience including 3+ years specific experience.
• Proficiency in PQL and SQL coding, including writing, refactoring, and optimizing transformations.
• Extensive experience in ETL processes.
• Strong experience with relational databases and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of the data structures of core enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
• Python skills.
• Hands-on data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and data analysis experience.
• Experience in process improvement, business analysis, or technology consulting, applying technology solutions to core business problems.
• Experience in core business processes (e.g., procurement, customer onboarding) and business transformation initiatives.
• Proficiency in leading and facilitating workshops and meetings.
• Relevant domain / process expertise (for internal hire).
Preferred
• Experience building machine learning models in the Celonis ML workbench for predictions.
• Experience managing Celonis development / test / production environments and promoting assets between them.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and warehouse operations data.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,800.00 - $137,300.00 per year.
The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
